Dao
The Dao is a traditional Chinese broad sword and is the most characteristic weapon of Kung Fu. It is one of the four Chinese major weapons and is known as "the general of all weapons". The Doa is single bladed with a slight curve of the blade, improving its thrust impact. Often the hilts are curved as well, in the opposite direction from the blade. The size of a Dao should extend from the held hilt to the shoulder of the person carrying it. Training Dao are also available, with the same shape as the original but made of wood to reduce risk.
